I’m “Nick”, F4NPL, an amateur radio operator based in Colmar, Alsace, France.

Why radio?

For me, amateur radio is about curiosity, experimentation and the excitement of making an unexpected contact with someone far away.

My main interest is CW — Morse code. I enjoy the simplicity of a key, listening carefully to the bands and discovering how far a signal can travel with just a few watts.

A small station, many possibilities

I’m particularly interested in QRP, simple antennas and practical experiments. Working with limited space and modest power makes every successful contact more rewarding.

I like building, testing and improving things myself, learning from both successes and failures along the way.

Always learning

I’m still learning CW and exploring the possibilities of amateur radio. I also enjoy exchanging experiences with radio amateurs around the world and discovering new ideas.
