Radio & CW

A small station. A few watts. A world of possibilities.

I’m F4NPL, operating from Colmar, France. This is where I collect my experiments, operating notes and discoveries in amateur radio.

CW — the art of listening

Morse code is at the heart of my operating. I’m still learning, practising reception and working on making each contact more natural.

For me, CW is not just a mode. It’s a direct, simple and rewarding way to communicate across distances.

QRP — making every watt count

My station is built around low-power operation, with a focus on getting the most out of a modest signal.

A successful contact with just 5 watts is a reminder that good operating, propagation and a well-adjusted antenna matter.

Antennas & experiments

Limited space encourages creative solutions. I experiment with compact vertical antennas, wire configurations, radials and portable setups.

Not every experiment works as expected. Recording the results is part of the fun.

Portable radio

Taking the station outdoors offers a different perspective: a lightweight setup, an antenna in the open and the opportunity to operate from a new location.

Listen carefully. Keep it simple. Enjoy the contact.
